Celebrate the magic of Lughnasa with singing, drumming and sisterhood!

In this magical session, we will enjoy song medicine and relaxing, playful frame drumming while honouring the waning light of the sun and offering our gratitude.

In MoonDrum Song Circles, we gather in sisterhood to free our voices, shake off stress, heal our hearts, celebrate nature, fire up creative inspiration, and have fun drumming together!

Lughnasa or Lammas is the ancient Celtic Festival celebrating the first fruits of the early harvest. It’s a time to illuminate our learnings and experiences from the Summer, and soak up the last rays of high sun as Autumn approaches. Named after the Irish God Lugh, it also celebrates the gifts of poetry, arts and crafts, healing and prosperity.

Together we will uplift our voices and connect with nature through seasonal-themed songs and chants, playful rhythm patterns, and intuitive soulsongs. 

You will be supported and empowered to practice singing, drumming and harmonizing at the same time.

Drumming and singing in sisterhood is a fun and invigorating way to reclaim women's ancient healing power and wisdom.

Bring your frame drum or percussion instrument, or use one of mine.

No experience is needed. All women welcome (by birth or otherwise).

MOONDRUM LUGHNASA:

• Tuesday, July 29, 2025

• 6:30 - 8 pm Pacific Time

• Crescent Park, South Surrey BC, Canada (no hike into the deep woods this time!)
  - We will gather and sing at the picnic tables by Lot #3, off 128th St.
  - There are covered picnic tables. If these are all taken, we will find a comfy spot in the woods nearby. So you may want to bring a light chair or blanket just in case.
  - Please arrive by 6:20 to use the washroom, find the group, chat, etc. so we can start at 6:30.

• Fee: Sliding scale $25, $35 or $45 CAD (you choose what works for your budget)

• For group safety, please stay home if you are not feeling well or have had recent exposure to illness.
